Dr. Ellens joined IMA Medical Group (IMA) in 2022 as a primary care physician at the IMA Medical Center of North Lakeland.
He is a board-certified internal medicine with over 25 years of experience in patient care. Throughout his medical career, he developed hard and soft skills in pain management, patient counseling, primary care, and diagnostic services.
Prior to joining IMA, Dr. Ellens worked as an attending physician for a medical group in Illinois and as self-employed to provide well-rounded care for complex cases in a team setting with other physicians, specialists, and health care providers.
Dr. David Ellens earned his medical degree from Southern Illinois University in 1992.
